A baby shower

Today I attended my cousin's baby shower.  Her daughter was born 7 weeks early and the kids and I made her a quilt, and as we quilted we prayed for her health.  In August, I posted a page for my Gram after her arrival.  The construction of the quilt is archieved on my sewing blog.  

Thankfully, this little girl is strong (probably like her Great-Grandmother) and has been home for 3 weeks now.  My kids made the gift, which my cousin opened and loved... Unfortunately I had to leave early so I couldn't stay for all the gifts, but reports are she brought it (and the card I made) out later to show off when opening the other gifts.  It was a hit.  

The card was printed two up onto letter sized paper then cut out and placed onto a piece of burgundy card stock that matched the dark flowers on these pages.

And my most recent page, created for my Grandmother.  Today she met her forth great-grandchild... her third great-granddaughter.  We are so blessed for my Grandmother's health and vitality at 95!

My Piper....

A great season of band is now over... my son's band placed 3rd overall in Grade 4 pipe bands in the BC/Pacific Northwest Area....

A quick page for my Grandmother -- the arrival of her 4th Great Grandchild!

I did the page up for my Gramma.  These photos were fairly low quality, and so I'm not sure how it'll print.  I haven't been in to see my cousin's new baby who was born at 32 weeks.  These are just the photos the proud granddad, taken on his iPhone....

My Grandmother is now the great-grandmother to 1 great grandson, and 3 great grand-daughters. In the past year she has been to both my cousin's and brother's wedding, and she is so proud of all her family. In June we celebrated her 95th birthday!

not Digitally Scrapbooking... but...

I haven't been doing much digital scrapbooking - too busy.... But my kids have gotten into paper scrapbooking... Yesterday morning we needed a quick birthday gift for my dad and a small gift for my Aunt and Uncle who were in town... So I printed out some photos from my brother's wedding... and grabbed 2 of the leftover photos from Christmas... And this is what we came up with in under 1/2 an hour.
